GIC recruitment is done for various positions such as Assistant Manager, Assistant and other entry-level positions. The senior positions are filled through promotion or through lateral recruitment. General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) is a reinsurance company that conducts a recruitment exam every year to shortlisted eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Manager (Scale-I). Candidates shortlisted through GIC recruitment exam are placed at different GIC offices based in India and abroad.

GIC Exam Eligibility 2021

The basic criteria that candidates need to fulfil in order to meet GIC recruitment eligibility are:

•  A candidate should either be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin
•  A candidate should be aged between 21 and 30 years. The candidate should have been born not earlier than 02.02.1991 and not later than 01.02.2000 (both days inclusive).
•  A candidate should possess a graduation or post-graduation degree with at least 60 per cent aggregate marks. Note: The subject of graduation/post-graduation varies as per the stream for which the candidate is applying.
